Database security is important because many key assets of every organization reside in databases: Commercial contracts, drug patents, personnel data, legal documents, clinical data, PCI cardholder data, and more. All must be protected from both accidental and other loss. Accidental loss accounts for a significant portion of data loss. The strategic approach is to put processes in place that reduce exposure. In this podcast, David Mills discusses the challenges of database security and presents the FortiDB solution for hardening databases, monitoring activities, and providing an audit capability.
